About DNAvi

DNAviWEB is a freely-accessible implementation of the DNAvi analysis tool for instant pre-sequencing screening of cell-free DNA fragmentomics from electrophoresis traces.

Non-invasive cell-free DNA (cfDNA) fragmentation profiles are gaining attention as diagnostic tools for various conditions that impact global health, including cancer. Although these profiles are diagnostically valuable, current fragmentomics depend on DNA sequencing, which is costly and time-consuming, hindering their routine clinical application. DNAviWEB is a free web-based version of the DNAvi command-line tool that facilitates cfDNA fragmentomics analysis using only DNA electrophoresis. This platform allows for immediate pre-sequencing cfDNA screening, seamlessly integrates into medical workflows, and provides access to browsable metadata catalogues from the European Genome-Phenome Archive (EGA) and the European Liquid Biopsy Society (ELBS). DNAviWEB offers detailed patient group-specific cfDNA visualizations, and secure clinical data storage. The goal of our platform is to aid clinicians and researchers to explore, analyze, and archive liquid biopsy DNA profiles.

DNAviWEB was developed at the Hasso-Plattner-Institute and the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Genetics.
